It is definitely fun and I finished the main story last night. Now, to do some sidequests. Gotta help my man, Sebastion.

One aspect I find a bit forced is the diversity in the game.

They've very obviously shoe horned every race, nationality and sexuality known to man into this game. On the one hand I think its great for kids to show a multicultural world.

And it also means that if you are some kid in Uganda or something you can feel more a part of the Harry Potter world.

But at the same time its very different and not true to the films and books and definitely feels forced.

I grew up in schools with all kinds of races, but we were all still English, I mean born here. It's usually not till you hit University when you get actual people from abroad you meet.

It's a nice idealistic thing in the game, but because of my own school experience growing up as an ethnic minority it does feel "off".

I noticed that well and it especially stood out considering the game is set in the 1800s.

Good of the producers to put all that in a JK Rowling IP. Hopefully some trans representation too.

Heard a lot of good things about the Hogwarts game. Never read any of the books or seen the movies. It’s regularly on sale and am always tempted to get it. May grab it one day.

You should read the books. I hate what became of JK Rowling but the stories are great.

I'd like a mission set in the muggle world.

The games got a believable lore and you don't really need to be familiar with the movies.

It's still Elder scrolls like but with better combat.

I bought SW Outlaws as a dreaded game key card as it was - £8 less on Amazon than it is digitally.

I suppose you get a box and a cartridge to use. So you can make believe its a physical game and still have to plug it in everytime you want to play.

Shouldn't they make it so it only occasionally asks you to enter the cartridge rather than every time?

Well I haven't received it yet but the price was almost at Wii game levels £40.

I’m sure they could do that but I don’t think that would be better. The consumer would have to try and keep track of when it would need to be verified and may have to carry the Game Key card around with them just in case or go and get it. Just easier for it to always be needed just like a typical game card.

I finished up Hogwarts Legacy this weekend. I really enjoyed the combat and the lore scattered throughout the game. Theres a couple of sidequests that I would like to complete but I will probably never try for 100 percent. I continued my playthrough of Chibi Robo off the Gamecube app. Its such a charming game and I can't believe I'm getting a chance to play it after completing it all those years ago.

Should say on the menu screen icon - 3 boot ups till verification or something.

Im fairly well into Sebastians quest line, its probably the most interesting and I can't predict if its going to end in tragedy.

Really enjoyed the Dragon egg quest.

Game changer.

If you own the pro controller or joycon charging grip for Switch 2 you have those extra buttons at the back.

However I play in split joycon style and just realised you can remap the buttons to use the SR and SL buttons on the side of the joycons.

Your little fingers naturally sit there. It's actually easier to hit than the + and - buttons.

I assigned one for running, as I hate clicking a stick in to run.

Also you can remap the gamechat button to whatever you like.

What choice is there? Buying digitally isnt going to get them to put it on a cart. And the existing carts are too slow to run this game.

At least I paid less and got something physical with it. A nice looking cart and box.

The voice "acting" and script is really good in Hogwarts Legacy.

They really know how to twist you about regarding to loyalty to your friends. Choosing a side when grey isnt an option.

This Goblin situation is a metaphor for racism. Elf situation a slavery equivalent. I was feeling quite emotional when this Goblin was telling me about his experiences in the wizarding world.

But its Sebastians quest showing the most potential. The game isnt afraid to tell deeply personal situations rather than broad themes of fantasy.

It's like they gave the writers and actors free range with exploring the subject matter without cutting it to suit a brisker pace.

I think a Hogwarts Legacy 2 would go further, maybe rven allowing you to explore London with Muggles.

I played quite a few games over the weekend, GT7, High on Life, and Forza 8.

Sunday evening, I relaxed with some good old arcade Pac-Man on my Switch.
