Indiana Jones is so good. I really enjoyed it and may have to get it for the Switch 2.
I really enjoyed it as well. Felt like the quintessential Indiana Jones game. Troy Baker did a great job impersonating Jones.
Spent most of the day playing demos.
I've come to the conclusion that Pragmata looks like a switch 1 game. The resolution is way too low and the demo makes it feel like a game with one trick and few ideas.
Monster Hunter Stories 3 demo however, has gone from zero interest into will probably buy someday. I liked it so much I redownloaded Stories 2 demo to give it a fair shot. It was not a good time, too child like.
Stories 3 reminded me of Zelda and Xenoblade, Skyrim even. It's aged everything up and gone wild with the budget. The combat is fun, even if I dont fully understand it and world traversal never gets old riding ma dragon. Also technically quite beautiful, though needs to smooth the framerate as its just shy of locked 30.
Then I went back to the Yakuza Kiwami 3 demo and this game is a definite buy. It's funny that the demo for 3 helped me with 1 and vice versa. Its ironed out some flaws that annoy me with 1. The fighting feels snappy and its probably the best looking game I've played. I was wandering about Tokyo in 1st person and it looked better than Cyberpunk. Smooth AF too.
The in game models look as good as the cutscenes too. Loved dressing up and the insane missions like avoiding knocking into sumo dudes holding ice creams.
I'm going to buy Kiwami 2 first and who knows, might even get Zero when its cheap.
09.02.26 - The PlayStation 6 is said to have 30 GB of GDDR7 RAM, spread over ten modules of 3 GB each. This is what the usually excellently informed insider Kepler L claims in the NeoGaf forum.
The memory works at 32 GB/s via a 160-bit bus, which results in a total memory bandwidth of 640 GB/s. Sony has not confirmed the information.
Horizon 3 still a long way off
09.02.26 - It will be quite a while before a Horizon 3 from Guerrilla Games will be released. This is the view of Jason Schreier of Bloomberg.
The reason is that most of the development team is busy with the co-op action game Horizon Hunters Gathering (PS5, PC) - for the foreseeable future, the game will therefore be the focus of Guerrilla Games.
Microsoft continues to plan first-party Xbox handheld
09.02.26 - Microsoft is still planning to develop its own first-party Xbox handheld. This is reported by Jez Corden from WindowsCentral. At the same time, Microsoft is working on its next Xbox console, which is the main priority. Microsoft has not confirmed Corden's report.
My weekend was all about Dragon Quest VII Reimagined. Really enjoying it.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 is getting some mixed reviews.
Of the complaints, most dislike the recasting of a character and say the side content destroys the pacing of the main story.
I enjoyed the demo and liked the side content.
I'm also subscribed to a retro gaming channel where AI flagged him for "deceptive practices" and nuked his channel. He got it back after two weeks and multiple appeals. It took at many appeals just to speak with someone human at YT. Their appeals process is mostly automated by, yup, AI.
Seems similar things are happening on Meta too according to the news. AI is the future, folks! The future is going to suck.

Youtube sometimes changes the audio on subtitled videos to AI English robot voice. I have to change the audio settings back to the original language.
Yes, I looked up step by step instructions on how to fix it. The option simply isn't there on my YT phone app. According to the comments I saw online, a lot of people don't have the option. Redownloading the app didn't fix it. It'll probably be 6 months before they fix this issue or longer.
