Yeah it's a bummer. I can see the logic of "why rush?" when MS and Sony have nothing big for this year, but Nintendo could capitalize on that by filling the void with a console reelase.

I started a playthrough of Super Mario RPG this weekend and sm enjoying this trip down memory lane.

Rumor is endless ocean is coming to switch and will be shown at the new showcase Wednesday. I still need to play that.

That is one of the unfortunate flaws that repeatedly comes up in the SaGa series (and Octopath is it's direct descendant so it seems it carried over). You can very easily find yourself in a place of no return during the end game or certain boss battles, Wear your characters are effectively locked out of getting stronger and meaningful ways. I've found it's not quite so bad here. I've been levelling up whilst watching TV. One of the benefits of offscreen play and I'm almost at the same level as my mains. I also went to capture all the bosses to use like Pokemon attacks.

But the good thing about Octopath is that there are all sorts of unique ways to monkey wrench your way through what would otherwise be awkward situations.

I can't do this because it's past the point of no return, but there's a character you can recruit who can give you 10x experience.

I did learn there's a team of Assassin's you have to fight, when you win you can hire them, and they deal massive damage, for cash.

I was browsing the Web to complain about the endgame boss when I read you can basically spend 500k and have these recruits help take down the boss, relatively easily.

This is a really great game overall, even beyond the first game. I prefer it to Mario Wonder etc and there were times playing it where I felt that there was nothing I'd rather be doing that playing it.

It would be literally amazing if they found a way to mash together the maps of the first game and this to make some mega sized game world.

I'm having an issue with a certain level in Mini Motorways.  The goal of the game is to manage the city's traffic by laying roads between same coloured houses and workplaces untill things get so messed up that your commuters can't arrive at their destinations in time.  It's all pretty chill and soothing...

Anyhow, I was playing a certain map yesterday and 3 times my city failed because I couldn't get commuters to a specific colour of workplace fast enough.  This was not because my roads were clogged, but simply because not enough houses of that colour sprouted on the map.  I played the map 3 times, and was met with the same problem each time.  It's not keeping me from advancing in the game or anything, but it's a shame nontheless.

I'd give it a go, I missed out on the Wii (did not need to with all the enthusiasts here posting hourly updates at the time)

I think N would be afraid to open the Pandora's Box of making it easier for pirates, or having their character models ripped out of the games and having depraved things done to them.

Foolz and Vader made 8 sound pretty good. But my backlog of RE games is growing with no conceivable way to reduce it!

Yes, but I do have a pretty good place to live in most every other category of quality of life.

I got back to playing RE4 Remake tonight. I beat the giant and found Ashley but had to stop because my wrists were starting to hurt again. The giant bss fight was ridiculously easy, like the in the original RE4. I was expecting them to throw something new in there to mix it up. Nope. Looked cool, though.
