I played more Monster Hunter rise, and continue to fail in the final battle, so I think I'm definitely putting it away now. I've tried mixing it up as best I could and it's just not happening. So be it. Still a fun ride.

And during the week we went on a mini vacation to Disney and universal studios. I ended up downloading fortnite for our dog sitter since she's a fan of it. I ended up giving it a spin for a couple hours this weekend as well. Apparently, something clicked and I'm finally able to juggle the building and the shooting a bit. I want a few of the solo battle royals, so I can pat myself on the back there.

Been focused on playing through Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Would like to finish it before Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes comes out next month. Am really enjoying it but all the stuff outside of the battles can be quite time consuming.

I played about 10 hours of Mini Motorways on switch over the weekend.  I can't even remember the last time I gamed so much in such a short span of time.  Really enjoying it.  It's very addictive, with that 'one more go' mentality to it.  But a game can take 20 minutes, so you end up spending way more time with it than you originally planned.

I've actually never played a Fire Emblem game.  I'm sure I'd love the turn based battling, but the 'social' (?) part of the game kind of keeps me away from the series.

I used to love Fire Emblem, but since the Wii one I've not been able to maintain interest in any one I bought.

Ive been playing Detective Gallo.

R.ce588bf022d34a94a981b061e0aa2fb2?rik=AtmElSifWlNTog&pid=ImgRaw&r=0&PC=EMMX01
It’s an adventure game and superficially ticks all the boxes.

Love the art and since Sam and Max was my favourite adventure of all time I'm happy with the animal detective.

Game could be funnier. In fact the script let's it down a bit. You have no real feeling of motivation. The murders at the beginning are of plants. And not talking sentient plants, just house plants.

Gallo is also a bit too hard bitten, he's mean even to people who help him, even his informant.

That said I started really enjoying it last night when I progressed forward.

What it does well is striking a near perfect balance of just enough help to point you in the right direction without making it blatantly obvious and no fun.

Understandable that the social aspect isn’t for everyone. It can be quite a time sink.

Doom 3 is so good. The visuals hold up very well thanks to the shadows and lighting effects.

Agreed. It's almost hard to believe it came out on PC in 2004.

What does everyone think of the Wolfenstein series?  I have never played a single game from it, however there are two on tge Series S.

I wonder if this is the PC version or OG Xbox version?

Current gen console versions are the PC game, specifically the BFG edition, which allows the flashlight and guns to be used at the same time. The 2004 PC original and OG Xbox port you had to alternate between using flashlight or weapons.

That would have been pretty shitty.

Played a few of them over the many years. Out of the newest 4 games I’ve only played the first one, New World Order. Enjoyed it well enough, pretty solid game.

I've played Wolfenstein 3D, Spear of Destiny, Return to Castle Wolfenstein (my favorite). I also played a few levels of the New Order, but it didn't click with me when I last played it 5 or 6 years ago. I need to give it another try soon.

Completed Detective Gallo, good fun overall.

It's a point and click detective game where you play as a hard boiled rooster.

It won me over in the end, being longer and having all logical item use. The art is also on par with the modern Leisure suit Larry games.

Could have used a better story and more humor but the end gag almost completely made up for it.

Also gets bonus points for being a point and click game with actual one handed gyro control.

Started The Gardens Between.

Don't quite know what to make of it yet. Critics loved it.

You only move the left stick and use one button.

You can move the scene forwards or backwards in time.

You guys heard of Card Shark?

It's Devolver Digitals latest release. I saw a great review and tried the demo last night.

It's not a card game, someone else is playing cards and it's up to you to help them cheat without getting caught.

In between it's more like a story driven adventure game. The visuals and music are gorgeous.

I haven't got far into the demo but it's already impressive.

I was doing what amounted to a Warioware mini game where I had to pour a drink for a fella whilst watching his cards (without getting caught)

And then sending signals to my partner by wiping the table in different patterns.

So good.

Hello there! So much stuff to watch and play, I have been just consuming too much stuff. I'll talk about all the shows in the forums.

State of play today! It will be third party so I hope we get RE4 remake. Some FF16 too. RE8 DLC. Lots of PSVR2 stuff so that should be exciting. Did you guys see the Sonic Frontiers footage yesterday, I like the idea of running around a big world but that world looked so empty, where was the game?

I've been playing Horizon FW, got back into it and am hooked again. What a world, what fun combat. It does stay so close to the original that it doesn't feel as impressive but still a great game. Gamepass is 3 months for $1 again so I signed up, will try Tunic soon.
