I've got just a few staves of Fantasia in D Minor left, so there's a good chance I'll have finished it this month. Then I'm guessing it may take a month to be able to play it well at its original speed and the bizarre 4:4 double speed version people play on the internet for some reason. I guess because playing fast seems impressive? But playing it fast in 4:4 also allows you to play it without any of the interesting dynamics, so it's not really harder...and the people playing it faster don't do the twiddles that are double speed in the original! Pfft. This also makes it feel much less baroque.)

This weekend I completed a good chunk of Gears 5.  I really love how it shakes up the Gears formula and adds an open world.  It shouldn't work but it does very well. The battles can be pretty intense too which makes it fun. Id love to see Gears 6 come out next year. What have you been playing this weekend?

I also thought it was good, though the traversal between the "lands" in the "hub world" took too long and were mostly there to serve the narrative, and the poor map extended many a voyage between the areas where the missions took place.  I would have appreciated if the missions were linear, or if the transitions between were tighter.  All in all though it was a good game, and good on the Collective for trying something new.

Got Crysis Trilogy remastered 😁 but can't fit them all on my card. Have to clean up the fridge.

There are some games I'd gladly let die, like Gone Home, Snake Pass, My Memory of Us.

Also "archived" After party. The biggest pile of shit. How they made Oxenfree then that monstrosity I'll never know.

Finished downloading the Crysis trilogy.

Never tried Crysis 3 before so tried it out. Awesome visuals, looks like it's on a different console than most switch games. Not a fan of the motion blur, I reduced it, but may turn it off.

Gyro controls are decent, but you still have to use the right stick. I maxed the sensitivity out, but there is no dead zone, it's central pivoted to your cursor so the whole screen moves.

The ADS allows for much finer control and the sensitivity can be set independently from main movement.

I would have loved a camera lock option like some Call of Duty wii games had. Still works well overall and you can even set the sensitivity of the stick to use it for fast paced turns.

Weirdly the game makes you hold down the minus button to customize your weapon. But it's too closely placed to the left stick so you can accidentally keep moving.

Still, seems great overall. And a  great deal for all three games. I'll start from the first game, always wanted to play it.

I enjoyed Crysis 2 and 3. Never played the first one yet though.

I never finished Crysis but have it for Xbox.  I might get around to it soon.

I think the 360 version is on Game Pass Ultimate. I should probably get around to playing it myself as well sometime. LOL

I am always sure to play the first 3 minutes of Crysis every time I get a new computer or graphics card. I don't think I've even gotten further than that.  Is it a decent game?

I'm all for that, as it means they'll work for the next 80 years (if the dear LORD allows for batteries to exist that long) as opposed to some internal battery that fries after so many re-charges.

My experience with Forza Hoe is limited to 2. The gameplay was supreme.  But the entirety of the game was dragged down by the hard sell of DLC and having events on the map, but not knowing until you go there that they were DLC or not.  Has that softened? As it turned me off the franchise to the point I would not entertain buying it.

Same here. Also as a collector I prefer not storing something that could potentially get damaged and leak.

I don't have a collector's mindset. I'm cheap, lazy and have been spoiled by Nintendo and Sony controllers for the past decade. I'm more concerned with the joysticks breaking than battery issues, I suppose.

I agree with Keanu on Mortal Kombat. I didn't like the guest characters like Rambo and Robbocop in MK11 at all. Looks too silly to me. MK has enough cheese without them.

I thought adding all the Warner brother movie characters was a really odd choice considering how story driven Mortal Kombat has become. Almost seems like a distraction more than anything. But, they did it over and over again so somebody was buying them.
