I think you're confusing 'making snowmen' with corona virus.

Like I said, they hadn't played for months and just came back to it last week.

I played every day since release. So was getting sick of the snow.

Yeah, that’s a huge “freebie” for subscribers.

Hello, been meaning to write but I am in horrible pain the last few days from my back. This started a few weeks ago as a small ache on the right side of my back, whatever. Slowly started to radiate down my leg, not the jolt of electricity with numbness of sciatica, this is more an ache that is taking over the leg. Did stretches, took aleve, used pads, nothing seem to change anything. Last three days this kicked into high gear, now sitting only gives me some comfort, the lingering pain is there. My leg is a disaster, I can hardly walk straight on it. The more I sit the worse it is when I stand up. Laying down is horrible, no position works so I can't use my bed, recliner does work either.

Saw the doctor, got prescribed anti inflammatory steroids, said will start to take effect by tomorrow... bah. Put in for an MRI but that could take time. Blood work too. He also told me to stop the aleve or Tylenol... so I’m just dealing with this.

So this is what is driving me mad, I don’t know what I should do to help get refilled or what is making it worse. If it’s a back muscle spasm do stretches. If it’s a slipped disk, rest. If it’s an SI joint, it’s other exercises.  Every time I do the recommended stretches about an hour later everything is worse. Laying down to rest clearly makes it worse, when I get up it’s horrific, all of a sudden today it radiated to my groin, that’s not fun.

Right now the pain is so bad I can’t even stretch if I want to. I’m also basically alone so I have no one to help stabilize me and push.

Anyway I’ll be ok, there are people that deal with much worse, GG, the rest of you dealing with pains, you all deserve a medal. if anyone has any advice I'll take it.

I have no advice, but I hope it improves for you soon, or that you at least find out what is causing it (and subsequently can cure it).

I finally got around to checking all my Joycon for malfunctions so I can ship them to Nintendo.  All 3 of my left Joycon have pretty severe stick drift.  One right one has a fauly shoulder button.  I didn't detect any drift on the right Joycons, but I'm not 100% sure they're unaffected.

I'm going to send in 2 sets and keep the third back a bit longer so the kids can at least use the Switch.  Nintendo better not charge me for this.

BTW this is most likely do to me being a huge lazy shit this past year, hardly exercise. Sit in car to worm for an hour, sit at work for chucks at a time. Drive back sitting. Get home and sit and play games, repeat. Yeah I'll be doing regular exercise from now on.

anyway, let's talk video games! Pokémon BOTW WTF?! I would be very excited but holy shit that frame rate, those graphics, it looked like ass.  Also this just continues the trend of Nintendo making every game open world, I am sure the level design will take a big hit. As for Sony, I liked quite a few games from the presentation, that melee martial arts game looked great. Kena is beautiful. Even deathloop looks fun.

FF7 free update is amazing, I feared they would pull a control. Because of that I will gladly pay for the Yuffie expansion.

Damn Vader that sucks. Not to play amateur doctor or anything, but have you tried looking into Tens unit? My wife has a lot of severe back and shoulder pains from a couple different things and it's helped her out quite a bit.

And in gaming news, I'm a complete and utter Hearthstone junkie again. oh well, that year of sobriety was nice. My completed games number for this year is going to pretty much plummet again I suspect oh well, the good news is even taking off 14 months and missing out on three expansions, I'm still pretty decent.

I've gotten pretty high into the silver rankings, which probably isn't that big of a deal, but with a full month to play in March I think I should be able to get to the gold and then start flirting around with the Platinum level.

Vader once your back is better get a pull up bar. It's good for your back and for your upper body strength.

Hmmm. That sounds awful Vader. It's such a giant pain when they can't work out what's going on. I can only recommend some basic things that may or may not help. I found that sleep is very important and my pain is always worse when I sleep badly. Maybe get something that helps with long term pain rather than short term. Amitriptylinrle maybe. There's a gel called Piroxicam aka Feldene gel, sometimes I use it as a last resort and it's the only thing that works. It can be used on all kinds of muscular pain, tendoitis etc back pain. Tens machine can be a good idea, you can use it repeatedly and it can reduce pain significantly but was useless to me as I can't place it on my own back. It could help your leg. Heat can reduce pain. Maybe take long hot baths.

My brother bought a used wii u as the youngest nephew is into Zelda and Mario from watching videos online. He didn't want to get a switch in case a new one was announced next year. Now he's going to want to borrow all my games. Problem is my zeldas are special editions, Twilight Princess is worth £150 already. And my nephews have destructive qualities. Like ripping sleeves, snapping or scratching DVDS. Glad he went the ebay route to used wii us. I offered mine but if my save data is lost or screen smashed I would have been pissed. I'm lending him my wii remotes for multi player. It will be a bit of an inconvenience as we play multi player 3d world together when they visit. In Covid related news I'm still at the stage of sitting down and shifting down stairs on my butt. 😩 And getting breathless after walking up them.

Finished Telltale Batman. Pretty fun but the final fight had so many loading hitches it was weird. Started season 2 and Joker and Harley are freaking me out. Unfunny, ugly and in charge Harley is just wrong. And Joker is like the nicest guy ever.

Seems to have worked. All the radicular leg pain I had is gone. Still have a lingering back ache but thats managable. I just wonder how do I get this under control once the meds are done. That is clearly a pinched nerve, could be L3, L4, L5 judging by where I felt the pain but damn I really hope my back isnt that messed up. Could be inflammed joints around the spine. I hope that MRI approval comes through cause I am curious. At least I work at the right place, this is one of the main things we deal with.

Thanks everybody!
