I reset the controller by making the PS5 forget it existed and repaired it fresh. It's working fine now. Still has me concerned, though.

I'd love to hear your impressions Foolz.  I downloaded the game via GamePass myself and started it, but got distracted early after the opening stages.  I always assumed there'd be some dark twist to the game, or is it really as innocent as the graphics style suggests?

There's definite foreshadowing for dark twists, but none as yet.

Hope that fixed it.

For a 9.5 year old game, Bioshock Infinite holds up extremely well graphically. On PS5 it's a locked 60fps and what looks to be Ultra PC settings. Still stunning visuals.

That being said, some of the gameplay quirks are so odd like finding money in trash cans. Who is just throwing away their money?! And finding lock picks scattered randomly everywhere. Must be a lot of careless thieves in Columbia..

I played Infinite for the first time earlier this year and was blown away by it. A few small quirks aside, it absolutely felt like it could have just been released.

The Remastered Bioshock trilogy is on switch on sale for less that 10 Bucks these days.

I had bought Infinite already separately, otherwise would have nabbed it.

Might need to pick that up.  I own the games on PC, but who am I kidding, I'll never play them there.

Looks like Xenoblade 3 exceeded uour expectations, GG.

Yeah I'm 100 hrs in and doing everything possible to delay what I assume to be the final battle.

It's bettered by 1s story.

But the world itself is an incredible creation. Its often so vast and beautiful I've felt like they really have created a whole world inside my TV screen. I'd easily put it in the top 4 games on the system and I couldn't even compile a list of the other 3.

Only complaints is some mundane philosophical conversations. The story is very grounded which is great on the one hand. Makes things feel consistent and real, but the vast plot twists that defy reality from X1 and X2 are often missing.

There's stuff I can't talk about because of spoilers that's pretty cool.

The combat is faster paced. You can fuse arts together for super powerful strikes.

And there's this quick move where it's almost like a dash. You can use it to quickly reposition itself for positional attacks.

Makes the game feel almost semi like a more twitch brawler at times.

I have the Bioshock Trilogy Remastered for Xbox One. Haven’t even tried it out yet. Definitely want to check it out on an Xbox Series X when I get one of those.

Its a very solid sequel but it doesn't really do anything new.

I can't remember anything about BioShock 2 really, but then I did play it in the wrong language. Maybe I'll replay it next year.

It does plenty new in terms of gameplay. Story/aesthetic weren't very interesting, though.

I heard there was a piece of DLC on BioShock 2, Minerva's Den, that was considered one of the best bits of story in the game. Not sure if that is in fact the case, but there's definitely good word out there on that.

It wasn't that great tbh.

Good to know. That was the one thing always making me consider a playthrough for BioShock 2. In that case, I'm quite content with just reading the story description.

The game is worth playing. The story isn't worth reading, so consider reversing that plan. LOL Did you play Infinite? The gameplay is kinda similar to that, but with more creative freedom and better encounters.

GG, you lying SOB.  I had some left over cash on my Switch eShop account and thought to redeem it for the Bioshock collection after reading your post about there being a discount.

There is no discount!  angry

I thought it was ok but the weakest of the trilogy.

Its not permanently on sale. You have to wishlist it and wait for it to come on.

Twice now its been around £8 for the whole trilogy.

If you want I can tell you next time it's on.
