I played fortnite for most of the weekend. They just ended a chapter on saturday, and then early this morning started a new one, so I was curious to see how the map changed. I wasn't impressed. It's the same map, they just added a couple new buildings and stuff. I was expecting something more dramatic. Plus this one's all about being in a rave, and I'll have no part of that. No sir.

Sega Has Considered Dreamcast & Saturn Mini
But Is Worried About Extreme Costs

I saw that article earlier this morning. I could kind of see why they'd be wary about making a mini Saturn, but the Dreamcast should be pretty easy to emulate. Plus I would think there's easily enough of an audience that it could push a million units without breaking a sweat. It certainly not my favorite console, but it's held in pretty high regard all things considered.

I did an online co-op playthrough of Gears 1 Ultimate.  Still fun and would be a wonderful game for a VGPress game night.

I played nothing but mini motorways on Switch.  When I close my eyes I see streets unfurling before my eyes, little cars driving up and down.

It's a unique experience.  A totally different kind of puzzler with no precedent (perhaps mini motorways, but I didn't play that).  I remember making a blog post years ago about how we hardly ever learn new skills while playing games, as everything is derivative and builds on what came before it.  It's refreshing to really get better at something, by learning it's rules and adapting to them.

Sega has certainly changed.  Edgy Sega of years gone would have jumped at any opportunity to be 'Extreme'.  Nyaa

You know, that brings up an interesting question. All of that "edgy" marketing was led by Sega of America. I kind of wonder if they even have power to do anything anymore or if they are more like Nintendo of America and essentially just do whatever the home office tells them to do.

I began Assassins Creed Origins this afternoon. Black Flag was the last Ass Creed game that I played...all the way back in 2013.

I didn't realize Black Flag was that old. Then again, the original came out in what? 2007?

Anyway, let me know what you think. I might dust off my copy if you're enjoying it.

It's Geoff E3 extravaganza day! I work during the show at 2pm est so I'll get around to it. Hopefully it's something, it might be two hours long. Capcom has a show next week, RE4 to be shown off, can't wait. Rumor is Nintendo has one for Wednesday. Sunday MS has their huge show, fun times ahead!

I finished Tunic, review is up. Great game held back by the disconnect between the advanced puzzles and the core game.

Wait, we're having any kind of e3ish coverage? I didn't know that. It was kind of bummed that we weren't getting our usual onslaught of gaming news this time of year.

Yeah pretty hyped for Summer Games Fest today. Will probably be able to catch the first hour live but will have to watch the rest later on. Pretty amped for the Microsoft + Bethesda show on Sunday.

I'll watch it live too. Suppose it wouldn't kill us to create a live chat thread for it.

Completed Dex.

Really enjoyed it overall.

Totally unexpected quality 2D cyberpunk rpg.

There were a couple of quests I couldn't complete. For instance a character set off a self destruct before I could get the info needed.

Played over 18 hrs.

Wish there was DLC quests.

I front loaded my hacking and physical abilities. Finally upgraded guns near the end and have no one to use them on.

Is there anyone willing to play through Xenoblade 2 from scratch with me?

I need some motivation. Eh

Tried the Card Shark demo again.

It's really good. Will get it someday. Amazing art style, excellent music and it's got this insideous atmosphere.

You've got characters teaching you how to cheat at cards to con people. Makes you feel kinda dangerous. And excited.

I've put in a few hours and really enjoy it.  I rolled my eyes at first at the typical open world side quests but I am right into it, finding every location and completeing as much as possible. I think I'm enjoying it a lot because Ive taken a near decade break from the series. The Ubisoft open world formula is fun if not overdone.

they just made an announcement that it will return in 2023, but I certainly wouldn't bet on that actually happening.
