I have that and never played it. I will give it a try. Same with excite bots, how is that?

ExciteBots was a lot of fun. The aspect of transforming into robots didn't add a whole lot to the game, but the main gameplay was still top tier. Its online racing modes were the best thing about it though, and sadly since it's sold so poorly it was always tough to find a full group to race against.

They had this one mode where you were actually playing poker on the race tracks. You drove picking up cards, and as you drove you would decide what to discard and try to pick up replacements on the track. It sounds fairly ridiculous, but it actually worked really well.

Well a belated Happy 44th Birthday to you then.

yeah, thanks. If it's all the same, I think I'm just going to pretend my birthday didn't happen this year.

No problem. I have a few birthdays that I’d like to forget and some I can’t remember. LOL

The baby who was on the cover of Nirvana's most iconic album is suing Nirvana for child abuse for economic gain and child pornografy, or something or other.  What a blatant cashgrab.  He's demanding at least $130k a person.  He never had an issue with it untill he apparently asked them to be part of some art project of his and they snubbed him.  What a waste of time for all those involved.

If anything he should be gratefull for them.  I'm sure he could have great success with the ladiez if he just said "yeah, I'm sure you've seen my wiener before, but boy you should check it out now.".  I mean, he could easily get laid twice a day, at least!

Not only did he never have an issue with it before, but remade the shot several times over the years. It's a case of someone who feels he should be more rich and famous than he is.  He even says so in the article that I read.

I started the first 5 mins of The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. It's by the same developer as The Raven remastered (excellent game). You can tell from the first few moments that it's going to be a great game, it got really good reviews. It's kinda like what Space balls is to Sci fi films, but in a fantasy world. Quite funny so far and excellent image quality on switch too, the trailers don't do it justice. The music is so good, must be same composer as The Raven. It's this sweeping movie esque score that reminds you of old classic movies.

It almost didn't get released in Japan. I think it only got a release as a reward through Club Nintendo over there. For the life of me, I will never understand why this game was essentially sent out to die. I guess they thought Mario Kart was too hot or didn't want to detract from that for some reason?

I started Psychonauts 2 yesterday.  I hadn't followed the game much, but read that it turned out pretty good.  Having played the original about 4 or 5 years ago I wondered how well they'd manage to capture that same spirit 16 years later.

It's marvelous.  The humour, the voices, the art style.  The graphics are spot on, with character models looking exaclty like you'd expect them to if they remade the original.  The level design is very similar as well, just with added detail and effects.  The gameplay is pretty much unchnaged as well, although there's plenty room for new powers as the opening level sees you quickly relearning all the powers you gained in the whole of the original game.  Unless you somehow lose them, Metroid-style.

It's basically everything you'd expect from a direct sequel, and in this ages of GaaS and online multiplayer it's a breath of fresh air.

So who else is playing this?

I did not know it came out, based on pre-release was not holding out hope.  What platform are you playing on?

He should be suing, but the party he should be suing is his parents/ guardians who agreed to use his image.

I was also wondering if anyone else was playing this, or if everyone here are philistines.

It's really good so far. I was actually expecting it to be good (as they seemed interested in making it, unlike half the shit Double Fine does), but it's even better than I expected so far.

I too started playing Psychonauts 2. Played for a few hours yesterday and am enjoying it immensely. I never played the first game so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect but I am having a great time with it. Will probably go back and play the first game after I play through this one.
