So here's a fun getting old moment. Couple days ago I'm walking my dog. She's a 70 lb Akita, kind of a big Wolfie dog if you don't know the breed. Every morning we go on a half mile walk before it gets too hot for her and on this morning about halfway through she laid down. She tried to get up and then started limping, before ultimately she just laid down again and tried to lick her paw and figure out what was wrong.

At this point we were a quarter of a mile from home, and she seemed in enough pain that I wasn't going to try to make her walk, so that lead me to one single option. I had to carry her home.  And since she can't really distribute her weight to make it easier for me, I have to pretty much lug her back like I sack of potatoes in my arms.

She ended up being fine. After a couple hours she acted like nothing was wrong, in the vet confirmed that aside from a little muscle inflammation she's 100%, so it's a mystery to all of us. Me on the other hand?? My back has been on fire for the past 3 days. Starting to get better, but God damn, no matter what I do I can't get comfortable. That said, I'm now not regretting passing on having a bigger dog.

Sorry to hear you're having back pain. My dog is 29 lbs and I can't imagine carrying her a quarter mile.

My wife busted up her ankles pretty bad a little over a year ago, so we did try to have the dog pull her in a wheelchair. Didn't work so well.

Loving Zelda SS, traditional Zelda still best Zelda. That formula for me is magical, every section in the lararyu desert is sublime. Dungeons are generally great, it's just a constant stream of cool ideas which I miss from BOTW. Now SS still has some issues, sky is boring, repetition in areas and bosses and so on. Still a fantastic game and it looks gorgeous in HD.

The rumor is Nintendo is waiting on the right time to release the Prime Trilogy?  Right now, motherfuckers!

We might buy the Switch version. I still have the original, but it appears that Nintendo have added extra translations, meaning my son could play through it on his own without me having to translate everything for him.

Anyone else try Google's home page game to celebrate the start of the Olympics? It's a pretty elaborate and fun 16 bit style action adventure with minigames based on Olympic sports.

Ninja cat game? I played it for a minute. I didn't think it was particularly fun, but I appreciate the level of commitment they put into making it all the same.

Finally enjoying Jotun more. Now that I understand the map, mostly. It's patently ridiculous that the icons are never explained in game and that your actual position on the map is also not shown. I had to dig into steam community posts to read up on it and worked out I was missing a shit ton of god powers which is probably why I found the bosses near impossible. I'm enjoying navigating my way around and picking up all the stuff I missed before. When I'm fully powered up those bosses are next up.
