I’m not really sure on what a Switch “Pro” might be like myself. On one hand I could see them just going with upgrading the dock but on the other hand an upgrade of the actual unit would be very nice. Either way I’m looking forward to it myself.

I expect a Switch Pro to be a similar upgrade level as the New 3DS: subtle. I'd like to be proven wrong, of course.

Finally decided to convert my Xbox Live Gold subscription to Game Pass Ultimate yesterday. Took a quick browse through some of the games offered and man there’s quite a few that I’m interested in playing. A few that I’ll probably start playing soon are:

  • Dragon Quest XI S Definitive Edition
  • Dragon Quest Builders 2
  • some of the Yakuza games
  • Octopath Traveler

This isn’t going to do my backlog any favours. LOL

I never got around to DQ Builders 2. The original was fun for a little while, but unfortunately it got very repetitious. By the time I got to the third world I just felt like I had already done this a couple times and put the game aside. Hopefully that got improved with the sequel. Share your thoughts on it when you get a chance.

My hobo subscription of GPUltimate expires in august.  I'm not sure if I want to renew it.  €12 (or is it €15) a month is a pretty big commitment, even more so considering how little game time I have these days.  I also have some actual, physical, XBone games I purchased dirt cheap over the years that I have not played yet.  It's great value for money, but it's still money I might not feel the need to spend.

Needs a CPU boost. Framerates are quite spotty. But since I mostly play 2d graphic adventures or hidden object games recently - I care more about what's available in the most recent sales.

I wonder if Nintendo couldn't just put out a firmware update that enables Nvidea DLSS on any switch.  Of course that'd mean there'd be no point in even releasing a Pro model.  Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pro turns out to have the exact same CPU and GPU as the regular model, just with DLSS enabled.  I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to pull that off.

But what real purpose could adding a C-nub have when the Switch already has 2 joysticks?  cool

Never played the first one myself. Watched a couple of reviews and it seems like this one was a step up from the first game and has a more compelling drive to it. The funny thing is that I bought the game for the Switch but never got around to even start playing. Downloaded it now on the Xbox One and will give it a go sometime this weekend. Hopefully. LOL

Given the number of games that I still have sitting around in my backlog and seeing all the games in GP that I want to play now I’m starting to question the necessity of me subscribing right now. LOL

New 3DS also includes a faster CPU and camera eye tracking for improved 3D effect.

You don't say...

I hope to see stereoscopic 3D again some say. 3DS was awesome.

3DS was solid. Clamshell design made it a better portable system than the Switch.

Not to mention the lack of active cooling meant you could play it in the bath.

Finished Abyss Wraiths of Eden. If you liked the setting of Bioshock but got bored halfway through this may be the game for you. Underwater City gone to hell, demons, little sisters. Pretty good although the instructions for a couple of the puzzles were terrible. Luckily you can skip with a press of a button.

Finished Dreamwalker, good game this but could have been longer. Most of these first person graphic adventures are set in fantasy settings but this is set in modern times but also has times you enter people's dreams. There's a murder mystery too. Really liked it overall.

Started Nine Witches this pixel art, comedic graphic adventure. Already getting good vibes from this one. For a start the pixel art in much more vivid and detailed than screens suggest. It's off the wall bonkers and funny. You play as a wheelchair bound psychic and his assistant and are sent into Nazi territory to bust open this occult Nazi division. So far I met the prime minister and used psychic powers to talk to a ghost. Then found his corpse and dragged it into the road to ambush a German film director so we can bump him off and pretend to be him. 😁

BTW I counted all the games I bought since starting this adventure game phase... It's 51 new games

Anyone see, Sonic Colours Ultimate was announced. I'll see how the OG version runs through Mclassic.

I saw the Sonic Colors announcement and really awful soundtrack aside, I'm glad they're re-releasing it. It was an excellent game and it's a perfect choice for a re-release. It's over 10 years old and since it was only on the Wii a lot of people likely missed out on it the first time around. Looking forward to seeing what some of those levels look like with a higher resolution behind them.

That other sonic game that was good on 360 is also on switch but it's never cheaper than £25 here.
