So I may be bumping up my plans for a new console soon. Vacation plans got canceled, so a chunk of money just fell back into my wallet and I'll be damned if I don't use this for something fun and irresponsible.

So at this point I'm debating between the Switch, PSVR, a gaming PC, or hookers and blow.

Switch is the best bet of those. Unless you are going all out for a super PC.

I forgot about Paper a Mario.  My kids have gotten me back into Super Mario Odyssey at the moment.  They were ticked that I sold it, but we borrowed a copy from my nephew.  That game is so good.

What about the hookers?  Short term gratification?

Okay health be damned... hookers and blow it is!

Actually how is that Switch Pro controller? Is that a more durable solution than the ridiculous joycons?

The Pro controller is the best choice.  It feels great, even better than the PS4 controller.

It's also the durable option as it doesn't use the same prone to failure joysticks as the joycon.

Given Nintendo's track record, I'm really disappointed with the durability of the joy-cons.

Switch Pro controller is a must-buy, IMO.

me too however I'm opting for more joycon for motion controls and the small form Factor. Plus 2 controllers extra will mean it will be easy to get 4 player matches with my nephews.

I’m pretty sure that “E3” has already started and is continuing now for the next couple of months via all these shows that are being put online. Microsoft already had a mini event showing off a bit of some third party stuff. They have one coming up in a few days on the 23rd of this month where they are showing off a bunch of their first party stuff and another show in August. Sony just had one a little while ago and have another in August too. EA had one a little while ago and Ubisoft just had one recently. We are in the midst of E3 right now guys.

I've been in an Animal Crossing coronavirus coma since  March. I've missed everything.

For me, visiting nephew's having 4 small joycons with 60hr battery life is better to pack into a small bag to take and entertain them. Plus my joycon are already faulty so I need new ones for portable play anyway.

Hey, I have a possibly dumb question about the Switch for you guys.

I know every month they release a few classic games in lieu of a virtual console. Are those games rotated out every month or is it an ever expanding library?

It is an ever expanding library.  It expands on a snails pace, but the selection isn't half bad.

This. Also there’s some games that you really don’t see released elsewhere too often before such as Crystalis which I was playing a few days ago for a bit. It was a nice revisit to that game.
