So I follow the gaming news through my RSS feeds. There are about 30 of them in there.

The ones I don't have in there are: (reasons in paren)

- Destructoid (They don't often have breaking news, mostly very opinionated editorial content).

- Kotaku (Their site doesn't work on my browser. And they've had more retractions than any other outlet -- by far).

- Gamespot (They just don't break news. They are hopelessly late on everything)

- IGN (Same as Gamespot -- good Sony and general news podcasts though, their Nintendo and MS ones are horrible).

- MCVUK (Nothing but link-bait, a little late than most US or Japanese outlets due to timezone, plus they tend to be euro-centric)

- CVG (Same as MCVUK)

Let me know if there are news sources you don;t see me link to that I should know about.

Your reviews are worth subscribing to, but sorry to say the news is usually slow.

I meant that as my answer to the thread title rather than the question at the end of the post. Nyaa

Ehhhhh, all sites have good and bad points. I use my filter to determine what is crap or not. But, even crap is fun to read.

Remember when IGN used to have the BEST Nintendo news?

Then Cassamassina had to go & join Apple?

My main gaming news site is Gamespot but yeah they can be very slow on news and reviews but I trust them the most.

MCV is pretty good for news, mostly business news but they have a sister site Develop and there is a lot of crossover. Andriasang is probably the best most bullshit free news site but it only covers japan. I like Eurogamer and CVG, pretty much any UK site as they update when I am online, unlike other countries websites whose staff are asleep when I am up.

CVG is tabloid but they do tend to be on the ball when it comes to posting stuff ASAP.

I trust you guys and my own BS meter.  I don't particularly care about reviews.  TBH this is the only general gaming site I visit anymore.

Tell me to get back to rewriting this site so it's not horrible on mobile

Neogaf.

Thats the only one that is needed. Everything is on there, news, rumors, random crazy stuff. Plus if anything is BS you have a bunch of posts calling out the BS immediately.

This is an interesting concept if you consider that all posts on GAF are in fact bullshit.

This is mostly true but if you are used to it you can pick out the truth very easily. Anyway its not even close, there is no site on the planet that has better game news than gaf.

They get the big stuff and some quirky stuff but there is a lot of stuff they miss or don't post or even post later than we post it here in the updates.

Plus, from my lurking over there their "news" turns out to be accurate about 0.5 out of 10 times. Plenty of people pretending to be in the know trolling everyone, which is a legitimate form of fanfic, but not news.

I wouldn't say it was 0.5% of the time true. I think if you tallied up all the rumours there would be a large chunk of good stuff in there.

.5 out of ten is five percent. Not 0.5 percent.

Vader, saying all the news you post is from gaf and all of it is correct is not the same as saying all the news on gaf is correct (unless you post all of the news that appears on gaf).
