I find the 3DO comparison to Xbox quite interesting. Back then the original idea, according to what I read, was to allow different manufacturers to make their own 3DO.
Like all sorts of companies made dvd players.
Xbox now seems to be licencing out the Xbox brand for other manufacturers to use. You might see a lot of Xbox branded devices, they won't have much to do with Xbox, apart from gamepass I guess.
But the brand could live on.
Apparently MS made record profits though and still laid off all those staff members.
For I'm just skeptical and waiting on any Switch 2 Ms ports.
Got a couple of Switch 2 accessories. Stuck this magnetic ring to the back of my switch 2, a magnetic battery and a usb c right angle cable. Now I can get much more Runtime and the battery only weighs 92g.
I was hesitant to stick a ring over the Switch 2 logo, but the other option was a Genki attack vector case which is out of stock and $50. Just for a clip on magsafe case.
Also got silicon joycon sleeves, not quite as comfortable as my old switch 1 ones but still pretty decent. Might give mouse mode another go now.
I don't really see that as them voting with their wallet, rather they're just playing what they've grown up with. That whole generation grew up with free to play games, cheaper games that get a lifetime worth of updates, and subscription services. $15 a month and a couple microtransactions still isn't even half of the cost of one new game. If you're happy with that kind of stuff, why switch?

Exacty. Gaming has changed where kids are totally happy with Fortnight, Minecraft and Roblox. These games provide thousands of hours of playability while spending close to nothing. Roblox is still big in my house. My son has a nightly kickball contest where he is the star and rarely misses it.
I'm sure that plays a part, especially for kids and casual gamers. As I grew older, I wanted longer games with more depth. I made more money too, so I could afford to pay more for them. Young adults may want richer gaming experiences but not be able to afford $70-80 these days, so they're not buying them as much, hench voting with their wallets. That's my take anyway.
Since I bought the lightest 5000mah battery I only get 3.5 hours in total playing Cyberpunk vs 2 hrs 15 mins without it.
The guy on YouTube used a 10'000 mah battery and got 6 hours playing Cyberpunk.
I intend to get another light, slim 5000 mah instead as it won't weigh down the Switch too much and it's easy to swap them out.
You have to be careful on what you choose though. I have a 20'000 mah Ravpower battery I bought for switch 1 and it's never been able to charge whilst playing. So the battery would continue to drain even when it was plugged in.
I tried it with Switch 2 and same problem. I guess it's purely for my phone now.
The one I bought is a 20w fast charging one and it does positively charge switch 2 when playing it.
Fun fact about Michael Madsen, he did a great impression of Nick Nolte. I can't seem to find any great examples on YouTube, but I once heard him in an interview and he told this whole story about how Nick nolte gave him a kimono, and did it in Nick's voice. It was a riot.
I've been playing Advance Wars 2 on Switch. There are some difficulty spikes where you've got these 'boss missions' where you need to take out a big factory. The rest of the missions are pretty easy, where you're clearly being set up for succes. The models for the different commanders are generally great too, where I'm trying to make out if it's animated 2D art, or high quality 3D models. Some seem to be the former, while some show tells of the latter in how they're animated. As for the limited voice acting, it's like they have 3 actors tops do all the voices, which does come off as pretty cheap. I'm playing the localized version, since you still can't set langauge settings per account, only per system, so perhaps the situation is different in the English dub.
Being a border city we’ve had one “bang, bang” night on the 1st and get another tonight.
We've been hearing neighborhood fireworks every evening for the last two weeks. Tonight will be the worst of it by far. And it'll likely continue all weekend too to a lesser degree.
I only like professional fireworks but haven't seen any since I got my dog in 2017.
I on the other hand still buy about one game a month.
Like all sorts of companies made dvd players.

Gg,how much time do you have on your battery now?

R.I.P. Michael Madsen. Best remember him from Resevoir Dogs as Mr. Blonde. 67 years old.
RIP. Damn, I just watched ReservoirDogs a couple weeks ago.
Yeah, watched it not that long ago myself as well.
RIP. I really enjoyed him as Budd in Kill Bill.
RIP Michael Madsen. He wasn't even that old...
In more joyfull news, let me be the first to wish our 'Murican Members a big, beautifull 4th of July.

Be safe out there. We had a fifteen year in our town that blew his hand off with a firework earlier this week.
"Switch 2 dock DOES support VRR for TV play"
It's been a month since release and people still don't fully know what features the hardware has yet? Only Nintendo.
