Yes, but this is more akin to MS buying Rare from Nintendo back then. The headlines (not only yours) seem to imply that Nintendo is buying out the publisher Bandai Namco, when in effect, they're only taking over one team of developers.
It's as if Rare would have been called 'Nintendo UK' and the headlines would have read 'MS acquires 80% shares of Nintendo'. It's factually incorrect and misleading.
But again, not bashing you, I've seen this happen in multiple articles.
