Project Milo! I haven't heard that name in a long, long time. It would be nice to experience a finished product.

Molyneux said that MS nerfed the development Kinnect (remember when it was called Natal?) that made Milo an impossibility.

The demo was pure stagecraft.

The new head of Xbox said, I'm paraphrasing, that the next Xbox would be a very high end curated experience.

So I assume super expensive? So they are going to be the ROG Ally X of the console world? $1000+ ?

Yes,. I fully expect the next Xbox to be a custom PC, manufactured by other companies, with Xbox controller and branding.

Yep. The OG XB trojan horse finally becomes reality.

No gaming for Aspro this week despite several intentful statements made to my family about how I was going to dedicate this afternoon or that to gaming, bit instead cleaning the house or doing farm work (or actualy work).

Depression is starting to creep back in.

^ hang in there Aspro.  When you're at risk of being overwhelmed, remember the Eisenhower matrix.  3/4 of tasks can be ignored, and the remaining quarter can always be done tomorrow.

I've been watching this YouTube paranormal channel called Nukes top 5.

It's really compelling to watch.

People have been using Kinect cameras to detect ghostly beings.

It seems to work, its quite freaky how Kinect pastes a wire frame skeletal figure over what it senses.

I don't have the video, but in a British one this wireframe ghost came into a guys bedroom and literally used its arm to smack down a bedside table.

I hope people are safe in Jamaica.  That's some apocaliptic shit there.  1000l per m² downpour?  Heck, that'd totally wipe our town out and I'm guessing most Jamaican houses aren't as sturdily built as ours.  sad

It's going to be devastating. Jamaica knows how to deal with hurricanes. If this was just a category 2 or 3 they'd shake it off. But with Cat 5's, there's just not much you can do other than pray. Coastal regions are going to get ruined, but hopefully the the areas in the mountains will get through it all right.

I'm the director of my company's marketing department, and it took me 4 years before I really learned how to delegate. Maybe learned isn't the right word. It took 4 years before I was comfortable with delegating tasks. That can be hard, especially when you suspect some of your co-workers or underlings or whatever you want to call them, have repeatedly shown themselves to be ass clowns.

I don't know... I've had some tremendous idiots work for me. I'd feel bad using the same word to describe them as the delightful buffoons that we see in the movies.

I've got a few I can trust to do the job 80% as well as I would do if I had done it myself, and I was good at delegating to them and then just tidying up their work, but I keep falling into the trap of "just do it myself it will be faster" or closer to the truth doing it because it is more enagaging than whatever I don;t want to do.

Paraphrasing here, Microsoft CEO had an extensive interview.

He said that Microsoft games are going to be everywhere. So yeah looks like Switch is going to get a lot of their games.

He also basically said the next Xbox is a PC hybrid.

Sadly he also said that the best gaming position for them is one with healthy margins. So prioritising profit now they've bought the major players.

Luigi's Mansion was just released and I couldn't be happier. I've been waiting for this release.

Story time. In 2001 I just started my teaching career and moved two and a half hours away from home. I was lonely in my little duplex and really missed home. I would drive home every Friday and return on Sunday night just to be with my gf and family.

I knew I was getting a GameCube that November on release day. Everyone else was excited for Rogue Squadron. Not me, it was Luigi’s Mansion all the way.

During this time period, South Carolina had blue laws in effect on Sundays. You could buy groceries but no other items until 1:30pm that day. Of course the GameCube was released on a Sunday, so I couldn’t even get it at a midnight release.

So I made it to Walmart that Sunday at 1pm. The grocery side was open but the had a rope blocking the other section.  All I could do was stand around and wait. Only I was too excited for the new console release and couldn’t stand it any more.

At about 1:15 I ducked under the rope and a woman noticed. She yelled out at me “Hey! Hey you! Where you going? Come back!” I scurried off as fast as I could, like a man who stole a marble rye from an elderly lady. I ducked and weaved through women’s apparel, determined to lose anyone tailing me.

When I made it to electronics, there was already an older man, maybe mid forties there as well. At 1:30, he got a black GameCube with Rogue Squadron. I got my purple GameCube with Luigi’s Mansion.

I was in heaven. That little machine and game saved me. Even though it was a short game, it provided many hours of fun. I got home from work and for the first time, didn’t mind living by myself.
