The AV Club just put out an article criticizing the new PlayStation plus service. It's not a particularly insightful piece, and just pretty much reiterated everything everyone's been saying about it since it was announced, so I'm not going to put a link to it. The title though I thought summed it up perfectly so I thought I would just share that instead"

That said, since I missed a large chunk of those leftovers, I will be sticking with the service for the next month and poke around the heating lamps to find one of the decent chicken tenders.

I'm trying to remember the last time I was in a GameStop store It had to be 2018 or 2019. And I have two stores within 3 miles of my house.

The closest one to my house shut down right after COVID started. Since then, I probably been to other locations 4 or 5 times in total. My old location was a little over 2 miles from my house, and the next two are both about five or six miles so it's not far, but just far enough outside of my regular routes that it feels like I have to make a special trip if I want to go.

As I think about it though, I am fairly sure I've only bought two physical games for myself in the past year. Everything else has been either through a subscription service or a digital download.

Yeah it’s been a few years since I’ve been to my local GameStop or as it’s known here in Canada, EB. Best Buy and Walmart are closer to me and I don’t deal in used games, either buying or selling mine, so I really don’t have much of an incentive to travel the extra distance to go there.

Yeah, the only physical games I buy now are for Nintendo platforms and I get them from Walmart and Amazon only.

This weekend I've been trying to play Journey to the Savage Planet. It seems like this game should be a lot more fun than it actually is. I'm halfway through the game, but I think I'm done playing. I don't know if it's the unimpressive combat, an art style that pretty much makes everything look the same, a sense of humor that doesn't click with me or something else entirely, but it's boring me to tears.
