I found it interesting because my immediate thought was, that although one obviously looks much better than the other in tech terms, it still doesn't make the other game seem ugly or bad. And personally I know what I would rather play. Both were supposedly realtime but some are questioning how real time the DD demo was. Whether it was a target demo, running on PC etc. etc

On the question of how does the U come off, I'd say not bad. I don't think that U is now redudant and not worth owning now that "next gen" has been unveiled. It seems like it will have some unique and fun exclusives, some with good graphics too. Ultimately I look forward to the exclusives and Nintendo games. Bring on Endless Ocean U. Please.

Right, the wii u is exactly like the wii. It will have a totally different game library, with a few third party gems and nintendo games. A great secondary console. I dont see why people want the wii u to be something else. Now Nintendo is in trouble cause so far the wii u didnt capture the casual market that the wii did so now the sales will be way dowm, but for us gamers that didnt really play the casual stuff, the result is the same.

I'm okay with that, seeing how Wii has been my favourite console so far with tons of games to play (not the usual AAA cross platform blockbusters). I can see the sales will be way down, but Wii 1 was a sales abberation and I never expected them to duplicate such success with a higher priced console. If it can sell between 30-50 million that will be a success. People keep predicting doom and death for Nintendo and forget that the U is sold at a loss but makes up that loss with the sales of a couple of games. And that Nintendo actually did quite well selling around 28 million Gamecubes.

With Nintendo I don't want them to blow the budget and bankrupt themselves with an overeaching technical beast that they have to heavily subsidise. I want them to be financially conservative, secure, long lasting and above all else creatively minded.

Any news on trophy transferral?

Some big news that seems to have been looked over is that Sony is allowing self publishing for indie devs. This will ensure a huge amount of indie game support.

The ps4 vita streaming can be done anywhere with wifi. BUT if you are very far away late cry will be noticeable so they say fighting games and shooters won't be playable. still pretty awesome stuff, and in house it will be nice to be able to play outside my room which the wii u does not let me.

Off to LA I go!

I never played a game he made but it is sad when people die young.
