Sure, but what about the game I already have?
Use it as a coaster.
I've been reading about this PS TV, you know the 3DTV they showed at E3? So this thing runs at 120 frames per second. Essentially you can get two different images on it if you have two people wearing headsets. It splits the frames and the headsets regulate what each player sees.
But that would mean that each image would have to be 60 frames per second? How is the PS3 going to render two sets of 60 FPS images of different things happening at 1080 or 720p? Surely it will only work with games specifically designed for it? Which at this point is 0? Or am I mistaken? Maybe they can do 30 FPS but it would still only apply to new games that use it and we haven't heard about any support yet.
Correct games need to be designed for 3D. And yes you need double the frame rate. So that means 60 fps for 30 fps in 3D and 120 fps for 60 fps in 3D.

Wait, so for someone playing a single player game, the games have to be 60 FPS for each eye to get a 30 FPS frame rate in the game? For 3D
So what does that mean if we wanted to use this PSTV and have 30 FPS in game for each of the two players in 3D?
Also, does anyone know how to get Opera to shut down your PC after its finished downloading a file?

This is kind of amusing - one of those 14 arrests that were done yesterday in the Anonymous hacking stings actually took place about 2 miles from my home at the University of Central Florida campus. Some 21 year old kid was "allegedly" affiliated with the group and took down some security company's website that consults with the FBI and government agencies. He posted instructions on his website how other people could do it, and then tweeted to the FBI that he did it. Apparently like so many other hackers he has absolutely no common sense whatsoever.
These guys are so full of themselves and just think of themselves as invincible. It just makes it seem even funnier when they are caught.

Looks like a good port, gonna be 60fps at least, and have new maps and weapons for 16 player online (and keeping the 4 player split screen) as well as extra custom missions past the campaign with different objectives. All you fools who didn't get it on Wii should get it now. Move supported, though how well remains to be seen.

No, it means that it is 60 frames per second for both eyes and 30 fps for one eye each. For stereoscopic to work you need to get a seperate image to each eye. With the ps3, first one eye gets one image and then another eye gets another. This has to happens within one frame. So if you want 30 fps in 3D, you need 60 fps framerate, 30 fps for the left eye and 30 fps for the right eye.
Multiplayer in splitscreen works the same way as always, so you can have 30 fps in 3D with 4 player splitscreen with 60 fps.
The PSTV is 120 fps as a TV. So you can have 30 fps 3D with 2 players. That would mean that in one frame player one get an image for his left and right eye, then player two get one image for his left and right eye. This means we have a total of 4 images per frame and we have 30 fps, so a grand total of 120 fps. Or we could do 60 fps with 2 players in 2D. of 30 fps with 4 plaers in 2D.
Idiots need to be flogged, not given HD ports.
It will be even funnier when they get a job for the government and get paid way more than you can imagine.
Or achieve world peace.
That can only happen if they hack the nuclear arsenal and wipe out all humans. Than we will have Peace, as in Rest In Peace.
Iga, reading your post is like being back in math class. Forget it, but thanks.
Seriously, is it that hard?
These guys are going to spend some time jail though. This isn't a GeoHotz thing. So they may make some money when all is said and done, but they're going to pay price for it first.
For a very tired and lazy man, yes.
Can't make it much simpler, rest and try again.
