Oh man that Kingdom Under Fire II video looked awesome. Really nice sound effects and cool soundtrack to boot.
I tried out a few demos recently.
Mafia II. Holy shit! I love it! The game looks fantastic and has very solid gameplay. I really didn't know what to expect from it as I never played the first one. I was extremely impressed with how solid everything seems to be. The pedestrian and vehicle traffic seems exceptionally well done. I want this game and to think it'll be out in less then a week.
Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2. This was another game where I didn't play the first one and really didn't know what to expect. I love the Ace Combat games and from the demo this seems to be a somewhat less arcadey version of that. The graphics are stunning and the gameplay feels tight. It would be a solid game in my library but with other games I plan on buying I may not get around to picking it up until later down the road.
NHL '11. Another very solid entry in the NHL franchise which has been doing very well for itself in the last few years. Some cool new mechanics for checking, shooting, and holding up along the boards. I missed last year's NHL so I'm not going to miss this year's edition.

Ah ok. That's probably why I felt the city work seemed a bit more finely tuned then in something like GTA. I just played the demo once and went straight forward with the mission objective. Still a very impressive game that I'm really looking forward to picking up thanks to the demo.In a good way right... RIGHT.
That said Peter Molyneux is still an excellent speaker. He needs to make a game which is just a blank white screen and its a CG version of Peter describing to you what you could be playing.

Damn Gran Turismo 5 looks like a game that been in development for YEARS!
Though it's still quite useless really. It will probably annoy people who want to use it for art with limited layers and undo phases and resolution, as the Wii has limited memory. Though it could be good for kids to learn the basics if it includes GOOD lessons like Art Academy for the DS does. They should combine it with a high-budget, or at least well-polished platformer that lets you draw your own elements for everything. Maybe couple it with some Crayon Physics type stuff. The game looked pretty bad in the footage, unless it also has hidden potential like this...

Holy shit, GT5 looks absolutely stunning. Sounds like there should tons of things to do in it as well. I'm really looking forward to this one.
