Why do they say its the SEQUEL?

Oh shit I misread the story. Only No More Heroes Paradise is being released by Konami. No port of the sequel Desperate struggle for PS3 then.

At the Konami press conference during Gamescom in Germany, the company briefly revealed that No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise, the official sequel remake of NMH1  to the Wii titles No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, will land on PlayStation 3 with PlayStation Move support.

The PlayStation 3 edition can be played with a standard PS3 controller but will be enhanced with controller motion if played with a PlayStation Move peripheral.

No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise follows hitman Travis Touchdown in his continuing exploits to become the number one hitman in Santa Destroy.

The game will ship on PlayStation 3 in 2011.

Everyone on gaf on pages 1 and 2 says that NMH Paradise is a terrible port.

I got 1000/1000 on No More Heroes 360 version and I can honestly say that this port is terrible. The game is full of bugs: voices going out of sync and loading times that sometimes exceed 2 minutes to achievements/trophies not unlocking. The patch solved the issue with the achievements/trophies but the rest of the bugs remain, which means that I can only recommend this to hardcore No More Heroes fans like myself.

- Infinite loading loop (game doesn't finish loading and ends up crashing)
- Achievements/trophies not unlocking
- Voices go out of sync

It was pretty bad. It's better than the Wii version in some areas, but all of that is compromised by other problems. It's just a poorly designed port.

Both versions did eventually get a patch. I downloaded it for 360, noticed zero difference in load times, and promptly shut it off :/

They also slowed combat down a great deal, due to the ridiculous increases in enemy health. There's a very good reason why the advertising for NMH2 has been taking a shit on this port.

Bugs, loading times and wonky controls. I'm personally not too fond of the new look either, the shininess in particular. Characters look like plastic.

Unless they're changing the gameplay back to how it was in the Wii version, Move isn't going to do shit for the game; the changes they made in the HD versions were incredibly disappointing and made the game more frustrating than it should have been.

Never mind Move, they should be trying to fix a game that runs as if it's being loaded from a fucking tape deck. One of the worst ports of all time, given the upgrade in power from Wii to PS3.

Microsoft bigwig Chris Lewis expects to see "hybrid experiences" on Xbox 360 that use Kinect as well as traditional controllers and therefore target both sets of consumers: casual and core.

Speaking exclusively to Eurogamer at gamescom, he said he wasn't convinced the core audience hates the idea of Kinect anyway.

"I believe a large slug of the core community will love Kinect for 360," believed Lewis aloud, in an interview published today. "They'll love the navigating round their 360 via hand gestures. They'll love that they can jump into a game like Joy Ride, which should really appeal to the hardcore community.

"We're very committed to that hardcore community - it defined us," he went on. "We'll keep bringing the Fable IIIs and the Halo: Reaches and the Gears of Wars to that community.

"But at the same time we'll target breadth, and over time you'll see different types of Kinect for 360 games come along that may appeal to both communities in different ways. There may be hybrid experiences where you've got gestures and physical movements that enhance what is otherwise a controller-based experiences. Those things will probably come."

Lewis, however, insisted that Move and Wii ports will not be welcome on Xbox 360.

"We have no tolerance for that," he said, in no uncertain words.
