I tried the demo and it seemed quite good. I love Mario Kart and have been really itching to get a similar type game on the 360 and this one looks like it'll fit the bill quite nicely. Surprisingly I'm thinking of purchasing this game.
Sega are lucky they got banjo.
They only have a few great characters. Ryo is badass though.

The whole cast of Virtua Fighter, Sonic and his shitty friends, Ecco, Vectorman, Jet Grind Radio dude, that guy from Skies of Arcadia, Panzer Dragoon riding dude, Ryo, the Daytona USA car, Monkeys in a ball, Shinobi (pick whichever one you want Joe or the new guy), Randy Moss, Golden Axe dwarf, Streets of Rage skater dude, Bug, the cops from Virtua Cop, Kazuma from Yakuza, Toe Jam and Earl, the jet from afterburner, HotD guys, Ulala, Michael Jackson, random character from PSO, Segata Sanshiro, and Nights.
Better cast than Nintendo.

Ehhh, they are characters, doubtful if many can count as mascots.
Guy from Skies of Arcadia and guy from Shenmue and guy from Jet Set Radio.
It's not really like Solid Snake, Mario and Sonic. They are games that happen to have characters, not mascot games which are all about the character and his appeal.
