Just another thing I'll add is that it's very common to be spending time editing a quote to remove nesting and clean it up, and that's time lost.

Another idea or perhaps optional setting would be to automatically display replies with a message size less that X characters, or to show the last X characters with the option to show the full message to try to counter-balance the potential to make reading messages more cumbersome.

I'm really interested in this idea and would approve of the adoption of it, but again, I'm concerned that you would invest a lot of time in the development of it and then get shouted down by the by the mob and have to reverse it.  Generally people (much to my frustration) hate change just because it is change.

Seems like a goodd idea to me, as long as the quoted message is still readable.

The comment permalinks have been improved to ensure that they go directly to the exact comment regardless of settings by including the number of posts per page directly in the URL.

Additionally, I've corrected a long-standing overlooked bug that caused archived GG Weekly pages not to sort by popularity if selected.

Awesome addition, yoda. When I lurk at nights, I often wonder if someone's around or not. Thanks.

The user permissions have now been updated to reflect last month's proposal of a point requisite of 150,000.

You can now see the last spotted on user profiles so you can see the last time someone's been on if it's been more than 10 minutes.

Various site updates include some visual adjustments, bug fixes and performance improvements.  Additionally, it's evident that the front-page has been overhauled as well.

Gotcha. Might be just about to make an amazon purchase, but I assume there's no way around it?

We need t-shirts and mugs there! Sad

Maybe like some kind of small insignia near the avatar (in forum view) for those who have site-manipulation powers.  It would remind those that have them that they have responsibilities and inform those that don't that there are people who do have those powers.

I know one could just go to the leaderboard and see who is above 150K, but unless you know they whole history you would not know that we even have people who can get stuff done on the site.

This is one I've always been borderline on.  The idea's been there essentially from the start; the trade-off is on performance for an extra table join and comparison, but I'll give it another look.
