Agreed.

Really? Why? I love them plus they allow developers more options like mapping a running a zooming feature to them. This has been something that's irked me about Nintendo controllers.

I hate them because I tend to accidentally press either zoom or duck when I absolutely do not want to, and then I either can't see or I'm walking super slow and die. It's very annoying.

I have no problems with the Back button, though.

LOL Yeah I know. Makes absolutely no sense to me. I guess these complex controllers just intimidate them too much. Nyaa

Maybe we should invite Lark to join here. It sounds like he would fit right in.  Nyaa

LOL Sounds good to me. Then we can have an orgy of nonsense or a nonsensical orgy, whichever you prefer.

We already press the analogue sticks to move; making two functions for the same "button" is bad design. Crawling in Halo is one of the most awkward manoeuvres to perform in recent memory.

I dont like it. It's an annoying way to put yet another button onto a controller. Plus you have to press them straight down whilst having the stick in the reset position for it to work. Which relegates it to a toggle button.

Please get rid of the back button too, damnit.

Huh? No you don't have to put the stick in the reset postion for it to work, you can press it anytime.

Not really. Say you have the stick full tilt to move you can't reliably click it down from that position which means you have to bring is back a bit, usually to dead center which is why its always used as a toggle type button. Why do you think it's never used as a main action button?

Get rid of the select button too. What nonsense, it's not needed. I'm so sick of developers shoving different things across every freaking button of a controller. Some games have the d-pad bringing up different menus for f**** sake.

You have no appreciation for elegantly designed controls, damned Hobo.

But if a guy can either walk into a restaurant and enjoy the food on offer, or dive into its dumpster and enjoy whatever he finds, I view that as worth noting (such a person is a guy I don't pay an attention to) but not really something to get upset about.

LOL

I knew that would be useful someday.

Hmm I've never had a problem clicking the analog sticks in from any position, I do it all the time. Never really had a problem with walking while crouched in Halo games either. I just find it all second nature in controllers with clickable analog sticks. I guess it's all what you're used to. The gripe about the back button still flies totally over the top of my head. I really don't anything much more to say on that.

Archie's just too hardcore. Casuals want fewer buttons, and an overall  more efficient design. Hardcore gamers want teh moar buttonz!

Sniping would never be the same again without a clickable thumbstick.

This is GG's idea of "elegantly designed controls"

LOL You can't say Microsoft doesn't take care of you, GG.

Almost there, but it needs the word WIN on the top. And I don't want it clickable, like a thumbstick. Just let me roll.

Say hello to the controller of the future.

MS don't even have to make a new controller, they just firmware upgrade to let you bitches play your games with it.
