Welcome to my very first, and likely last, review at The VG Press!

I normally don't have too much time to devote to writing about games like this, but the way this game captured me from Start to Finish and the way it not only obliterated any doubts I had about it --AND-- far exceeded ANY expectations I had of it...

I just HAD TO get my thoughts out where they could be shared and discussed!

Enjoy!

A 10? Ok that's a bit overboard. Nyaa

Glad you enjoyed it so much. Happy

Read the full review, very well written. Awesome review, I wish you would do more.

Did you play hard mode?

Confession Time: I have never 100% a Metroid game. This game will be my first (cause it tells you where everything is)

As a stand-alone story it wouldn't have been a 10.

As a game on its own, without the story, it wouldn't have been a 10.

Taken together, combined with the PERFECT pacing, the presentation, the risks that it took and the rewards it gives to its fans, it is much more than the sum of its parts and becomes a nearly perfect experience!

Is it better than Super? No, but it's up there. Is it better than Prime? Yeah, in my eyes, its closer to the Metroid style of game I have grown up loving.

I gave both of those games 10's, therefore...

Sounds about right then. I love it when I play a game that is a 10 for me, you must be so thrilled to have a game like this out now.

In Metroid games it really feels like you need to go out of your way to find everything. The world is huge and there are no warps, so you have to go through the entire world bombing every damn wall. Most of the Metroid games don't even keep track of how many objects are in the world, only the two GBA ones did that. If the Prime games gave me some direction I would have done it. This one tells you exactly where every item is and you know what, I like it. The fun is trying to figure out how to reach it, each item is like a puzzle.

The legend is far greater than the actual man. Nyaa
