It's possible you may experience the icons on the editor showing black boxes.  If this is the case, you just need to clear your browser's cached images to resolve the issue.

Gettign a lot of this Yoda (with follow-up dialogs): (after posting comment)

"An auto-saved version of this content from "April 21 2014 4:54 PM" has been found. Would you like to compare content versions and choose which one to load?"

The site keeps logging me out everytime the browser is closed. I'm on W8 with the latest IE

I've adjusted the login to allow multiple login sessions.  This may resolve your issue, but you'll have to tell me if it does.

Seems to be working.

The editor is messed up though, all the buttons are displayed as black squares.

Cleared favicons on the news as they weren't functioning properly.  With the updated fix they should start appearing with each article added.

This is not a bug or an issue perse, maybe just a suggestion as a new pet project for when you have time to kill ...

...Make the site readable on mobiles.  I don't know if it's just my phone but it looks all jumbled up and messy and I'm unable to read anything or navigate it in anyway.

Like I said I'm not complaining or anything, I don't normally use phone for internet ... I have just been spending too long in hospital waiting rooms in the last couple of months that's the only reason I even noticed.

I'm with you as it can use some work for friendliness on mobile (the beginnings of this site date back to the launch of the iPhone 3G!) but could you elaborate on what navigation issues occur and how things appear jumbled?  Your description is a bit different than what I would describe viewing on my android device, so I want to see if there are additional issues of which I'm unaware.

I don't think I could do a very good job of describing it other than to say that things appear very much on top of one another kind of all piled up in such a way as you can't read much or click around and navigate.  It could be being made worse by my phone which has a very small screen and is not very new compared to how frequently most people now change phones.

I think I should try taking some screen caps to show you as that would give you a much clearer idea of what I try to describe.

The websites which are easily readable and functional on my phone are usually layed out differently than if you looked at them on the computer.  They are either a lot more vertical so you can read and choose by just scrolling down all the time.  Or you see a miniature of the page and you can magnify any part of the screen which you need.  This seemingly does neither.  Everything is more or less the size it would be on the computer screen and the layout becomes jumbled up (things are just pulled over each other)

I can add that on a Windows 8 phone, the site looks just the same as it does on a PC.  Some pictures won't show up, but that's all.

If a mobile version ever gets made, please include an option to switch back to desktop view.  I'm no fan of mobile versions of most sites.  I like uniformity across all my devices.

Your post is autosaved every 30 seconds by the editor if it's changed during that time.  I've been looking at modding it to better suit our needs and be less annoying but haven't worked it out yet.  Probably going to disable it until I get it sorted.

I think it's preferable to it telling you that your credentials are mismatched and not letting you post if you take too long or if you're doing a longish post which used to happen to me a few times in the past

I save the html anyway.

But say you post something and then delete/retract it. Will the saved version be there for everyone to view?

No, it's just a local browser store if you need to restore for whatever reason.

Anyone who remembers the pre-lithium days of GS should have some form of brain damage that causes them to copy their replies and threads before posting them.  Anyone else would be wise to copy said behaviour.
